Working with Multiple Fabrics Using the Data Fabric UI
This section describes how you can get started learning about, installing, and using the HPE Ezmeral Data Fabric.
The Data Fabric UI serves as a data plane for all your data sources ranging from fabrics created on Data Fabric, S3-compliant object stores in the cloud, and third-party NFS servers.
You can use the Data Fabric UI to work with more than one fabric at a time, including on-premise fabrics and fabrics created on public cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, and Microsoft Azure. You can import external data sources such as third-party NFS servers and S3-compliant object stores into your global namespace to get a unified view of all your data sources on the Data Fabric UI.
The Data Fabric UI can be installed by using the procedure given in Installing with a Seed Node.
For upgrading to the latest release version, see Upgrading a Seed Node Fabric.
If you plan to deploy a fabric on a public cloud provider such as Amazon Cloud Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, you must first read about the Considerations for Data Fabric Deployment on Cloud.
Before you start working with multiple fabrics in your hybrid cloud environment or on-premise, familiarize yourself with Data Fabric Terminology for Working with Multiple Fabrics.
