Deleting a Role

Describes how to delete a role.

Prerequisites

You must be a fabric manager to perform this operation.

About this task

You can delete a user-defined role only when there is no user or group attached to the role.

NOTE

You cannot delete pre-defined roles.

Follow the steps given below to delete a user-defined role.

Procedure

Log on to the Data Fabric UI.
Click the Security Administration icon > Identity management on the left pane.
Click the Roles tab.
Click Create Role.
On the list of roles, click the ellipsis under Actions for the user-defined role to delete.
Click Delete and type DELETE in the provided text area to confirm deletion.
Click Save.

Results

The selected user-defined role is deleted.
