  Describes how to use the Data Fabric UI to upgrade a fabric that was installed using the seed node installation procedure.

  Depending on your current configuration, you may choose to upgrade the release version (core), ecosystem components, clients, or monitoring components.

Upgrading HttpFS

This section describes how to upgrade HttpFS without the Installer.

To upgrade HttpFS:

IMPORTANT

If you are upgrading from EEP 8.x.x or a previous EEP to EEP 9.0.0 or later, note that EEP 9.0.0 introduced changes to the location of the httpfs-site.xml file and the name of the timeout property. For more information about these changes, see Network Timeout for HttpFS.

Run one of the following commands to use a package manager to install the new packages from the repository:
- On RHEL/CentOS:
```
yum update mapr-httpfs
```
- On Ubuntu:
```
apt-get install mapr-httpfs
```
- On SLES:
```
zypper update mapr-httpfs
```
If you haven't already upgraded Hadoop, upgrade the following Hadoop packages:
- mapr-hadoop-util
- mapr-hadoop-client
- mapr-hadoop-core
