Special Considerations for Control System API server

When upgrading a manually installed cluster to Data Fabric 8.x, upgrading the mapr-apiserver package places new XML configuration files into opt/mapr/apiserver/conf.new. The API server will not start successfully until these updated configurations are merged into /opt/mapr/apiserver/conf.

IMPORTANT

Before starting or restarting the API server on upgraded nodes, complete the configuration file backup and merge procedure.
