Upgrade Considerations for User Behavior Tracking
Describes the backward compatibility considerations for user behavior tracking with insight gathering, when upgrading from Data Fabric release version 7.8 to 7.9.
The following changes must be taken into considered if you have enabled insight gathering to track user behavior in Data Fabric, and are now upgrading from Data Fabric release version (version) 7.8 to 7.9 or later.
- Tables created in Data Fabric 7.8 are not supported in Data Fabric 7.9 or later.
- New Apache Iceberg tables with a different schema are created for Data Fabric 7.9 or later.
- When CLDB is upgraded to 7.9 or later, insights running 7.8 version are shutdown, as the Apache Iceberg table formats differ from Data Fabric version 7.9.
- Insight gathering shutdown and restart is automatically performed by the CLDB service, per the requirement of the mode in which the insight service is running.
