Editing an Identity Policy

Describes the procedure to edit an identity policy

Prerequisites

You must be a fabric manager to perform this operation

About this task

You can edit an identity policy to add, change, or remove the assignment of the identity policy with users/groups/roles.
NOTE
Identity policy was known as IAM policy in some of the earlier Data Fabric versions.

You can also deactivate or activate an identity policy.

Follow the steps given below to edit a identity policy.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Data Fabric UI.
  2. Click the Security Administration icon > Policy management tab.
  3. Click the Identity policies tab.
  4. On the list of identity policies seen on the Identity policies tab, click the ellipsis under Actions for the identity policy to edit.
  5. Click Edit to make changes to the identity policy.
  6. Make the required changes to the various statements in the identity policy.
  7. Click Save.

Results

The changes are saved to the identity policy and are reflected across the resources to which the identity policy has been assigned.
