Object Copier Lifecycle

Describes the object copier lifecycle and the commands associated with the lifecycle.

The following steps comprise the object copier lifecycle.
  • Create an object copier using the given configuration
  • Start the copier to start the listener. When the copier starts successfully, it listener starts and the copier begins to consume AWS SQS events and copy objects.
  • Stop the copier. When the copier stops, the copier stops consuming events. The queue offset is preserved for smooth resumption of service when the copier restarts.
  • Delete the copier. When you delete a copier, the copier stops and removes all the configuration related information from Data Fabric. You must create another copier to start using a copier on the node again.
  • Purge the copier data. All data related to the copier that is currently stored on the cluster node running the service is permanently deleted.
  • Add bucket mapping
  • Delete bucket mapping
  • Update copier configuration.
