Disk Capacity and Preflight

The disk capacity and preflight checks performed during the creation and updation of an air-gapped repository.

Ensure that the host running airgap repo container has sufficient disk space to accommodate current available repository data , preflight downloads, inactive publications. The airgap-repository update operation does not take care of ensuring that the disk space availability constraints are satisfied.

NOTE
An update temporarily requires storage for all of the following:
  • The stable archive cache, including any newly downloaded archives.
  • The current active publication.
  • The candidate publication, including additional package branches.
  • Configured minimum free-space headroom. Any retained inactive publication directories, legacy caches, or failed staging content already on the filesystem.
Every create and update runs a disk capacity and preflight check, by default.
