Upgrading HttpFS

This section describes how to upgrade HttpFS without the Installer.

To upgrade HttpFS:
IMPORTANT
If you are upgrading from EEP 8.x.x or a previous EEP to EEP 9.0.0 or later, note that EEP 9.0.0 introduced changes to the location of the httpfs-site.xml file and the name of the timeout property. For more information about these changes, see Network Timeout for HttpFS.
  1. Run one of the following commands to use a package manager to install the new packages from the repository:
    • On RHEL/CentOS:
      yum update mapr-httpfs
    • On Ubuntu:
      apt-get install mapr-httpfs
    • On SLES:
      zypper update mapr-httpfs
  2. If you haven't already upgraded Hadoop, upgrade the following Hadoop packages:
    • mapr-hadoop-util
    • mapr-hadoop-client
    • mapr-hadoop-core
