User Roles

Describes roles that you can assign to users in HPE Ezmeral Unified Analytics Software.

In HPE Ezmeral Unified Analytics Software, a user is either a member or an administrator. The user that installs HPE Ezmeral Unified Analytics Software and applies the license is the platform administrator. After applying the license, the administrator is prompted to sign in using the credentials entered during installation. Once signed in, the administrator can add users. See Adding and Removing Users.

Any user added and assigned the admin role can also add and remove users. Users that are not assigned the admin role are members. Members have access to all areas of HPE Ezmeral Unified Analytics Software except for the Administration area.
NOTE
Admins can only add users that are in the AD/LDAP server. The platform administrator configures AD/LDAP settings for HPE Ezmeral Unified Analytics Software during installation. For additional information, see Installation and AD/LDAP Servers.

Administrators

Only users assigned the admin role can see and use the Administration area in the left navigation bar.
